Conversion of an Integral Garage to a Sitting Room/Library

This conversion of an integral garage to a sitting room/library was driven by the client’s wish to disguise the existing garage doors. This was achieved with an infill of herringbone brick and windows framed by stone surrounds. The external walls received cavity fill insulation and the floor’s thermal insulation was improved substantially to ensure the new under-floor heating would work effectively.

Polished basalt flooring and oak shelving complete the picture to make this an elegant and comfortable space.
